How do I recall?

Hi all,
It seems the past few days I am only remembering bits and flashes of my dreams. A word here, a face there.
Does anyone have any hints / tips on how to recall the dream details? Is it possible?

When you wake from a dream, don’t move lay still for awhile, and focus on the dream you woke up from. Have a dim light next to your bed along with a dream journal, and write a sentence or two that you believe would jog your memory about the dream later when you read it.
